The war between the tablets of Google and Samsung is really interesting to watch? Both packs spectacular specs, but somewhere overpasses each other, catching the attention of geeks
It is obviously a strenuous task to compare Google Nexus 7 and Samsung Galaxy tab 3, as both are the Android tablets of technology giants, whose previous devices have already won a place in the heart of geeks. Google has recently rolled out update in Nexus 7 and on the other hand, Galaxy Tab 3 has been released in three different versions including Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.
One major difference between both of these tablets is their thinness. Galaxy Tab 3 is a bit slimmer in comparison to Nexus Tab. While, Galaxy Tab 3 flaunts a physical home button placed on display, Nexus tablet features solid screens, which lacks buttons. In fact, it only holds physical buttons in form of volume up and down and power buttons on its sides.
As per maker, Google Nexus 7 boasts of 1920 x1200 HD display, which is the sharpest screen in a tablet. In contrast, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. 7.0 feature 1024 x 600 display and Tab 3. 8.0 and Tab 3. 10.1 1280 x 800 (WXGA). The difference in display quality can be apparently noticed while viewing HD movies, playing games or reading text on white background.
When it comes to speed, Nexus 7 is empowered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, while Tab 3 10.1 Tab 3 8.0 and Tab 3 7.0 are respectively packed with 1.6 GHz, 1.5GHz and 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. On the grounds of RAM, Nexus 7 with 2GB RAM overtakes Galaxy, which holds 1GB of RAM in Tab 3 7.0 and 10.1 and 1.5GB of RAM in Tab 3 8.0. Thus more powerful processor and extra RAM make Nexus 7 first choice for game lovers.
Nexus 7 can be availed in 16GB and 32GB. On the other hand, Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Wi-Fi packs 8GB, Tab 3 7.0 LTE/Wi-Fi 16GB and Tab 3 8.0 and 10.1 Wi-Fi 16GB . All these Galaxy Tab 3 are available along with microSD memory slots expandable up to 64GB.
While, Nexus tablet runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and are expected to get Android 4.4 KitKat first of all. In comparison, Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Tab 3 10.1 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Tab 3 7.0 on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.
