Now you can create your own chatting room with free and open source available application PHPfreechat.
This app doesn’t create any database rather it use file system to execute it task. Its responsive web layout can be fit in various devices like desktop, laptop, table and mobile etc.
Phpfreechat has 2 parts:
For server: a PHP-powered engine that accepts REST commands and handles the chat logic
For client: a jQuery plugin that communicates with the server and displays the chat interface
phpFreeChat is pretty simple in functionality yet support for multiple rooms, smileys and a “new message notification” will be added soon.
The application has module authentic system that can be used to integrate different application. This chat application also supports multi chat rooms and simultaneously at a time many users can initiate the chatting job.
